INCIDENT 46/2022 JUN 25th SAT. 14,38 RIBBLE WAY PATH, SOUTH OF HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT
A walker (m) tripped on the riverside path near Horton Wastewater Treatment Works, sustaining a suspected hip injury. A passer-by called for an ambulance and his companions made him as comfortable as possible, while waiting. YAS called CRO for assistance and after the YAS paramedic had immobilised the casualty and administered pain relief, team members carried him to a waiting road ambulance. Volunteer hours: 25

An adult accompanying a school group visit to Long Churn Caves was reported to be having difficulty breathing just as the group had arrived at the cave entrance.
