The Team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a local farmer when one of her sheep became stuck in a tight water culvert. Despite tempting it with treats the sheep had declined to come out. A small team of members attended and eventually the sheep was safely extracted from the culvert none the worse for the ordeal. CRO was asked by our colleagues in Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) to assist with a search for a missing person in and around the Nidd Gorge near Knaresborough. A team from CRO attended and joined several other mountain rescue teams in searching areas of potential interest, but the missing person was not located. Volunteer hours: 47
NYP called for assistance following the disappearance of a visitor (f, 44) believed to be at risk. As members waited at the RV point, the NPAS (Police) helicopter crew reported sighting the misper, sitting on a hill-side and apparently unharmed, about a kilometre from the point where she had last been seen.
