INCIDENT 11/2022 – MARCH 1st TUE. 09.47 MALHAM COVE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – LOCAL INCIDENT

North Yorkshire Police asked for CRO’s assistance after a member of the public found a person believed to be deceased at the foot of Malham Cove. YAS and YAA paramedics confirmed that life was extinct, then, with the necessary formalities over, NYF&RS firefighters and CRO members lifted the deceased onto a stretcher. One side of a bridge sagged under the weight of an ATV and trailer carrying a number of people* across it. Following a report of someone having been seen to come off the top of Malham Cove, Yorkshire Ambulance Service dispatched air and road ambulances, a Rapid Response Vehicle and its HART (Hazardous Area Response Team, based near Morley), also alerting CRO.
