North Yorkshire Police called for assistance in rescuing a sheep which had fallen into Hull Pot. A small team was dispatched. While one team member abseiled approximately 18m down to the sheep and persuaded it into a flight bag, four other team members set up a hauling system. Bowland Pennine MRT passed on a request to rescue a lamb which had fallen 20m down an un-named abandoned dig southwest of Whitmore Pot near Whitewell, Bowland Forest. A small team attended and two cavers descended, locating the lamb down a narrow rift beyond a constriction. a) CAVE HOLE (BOGGARTS ROARING HOLES area) Two team members, walking from Ingleton to Gaping Gill, found that a sheep was stranded about 10m down in Cave Hole. Re-inforcements were called.
