INCIDENT 42/2025. MAY 10th SAT 1209hrs. WHERNSIDE, CHAPEL LE DALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE
The Team were alerted by North Yorkshire Police, requesting assistance with a walker (F, 54) who had sustained an ankle injury whilst descending the summit ridge from Whernside. The walker was unable to bear weight on the injured leg, and could not continue walking. INCIDENT 29/2025. APR 12th SAT 1752hrs. Nr. GAPING GILL, INGLEBOROUGH, RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE.
Whilst busy with the previous incident, the Team received a second call for assistance, this time from Lancashire Police, to assist with a walker (F, 64) suffering a medical problem on the hill near to Gaping Gill. INCIDENT 28/2025. APR 12th SAT 1639hrs. RAVEN RAY, WATERFALLS TRAIL, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE
The Team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist with a visitor (F, 30) who had slipped whilst on the Waterfalls Trail and hurt her ankle. She was unable to put weight on the ankle or continue her walk. Team members attended , treated the walker and stretchered her to an ambulance waiting nearby.
