The Team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist 3 walkers (all F, 67,68,70) who had become disorientated in poor visibility and darkness on the summit of Ingleborough. The walkers, who had fading torchlight and phone charge wisely decided to call us and stay put where they were. INCIDENT 51 / 2025 JUNE 14th SAT 15.45hrs HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE.
A number of Team members were assisting with a local fell race on Pen y Ghent, near Horton in Ribblesdale. The start of a busy afternoon for the Team! We were alerted to an incident by our colleagues at Kendal Mountain Rescue Team, which had been misdirected to them by Cumbria Police.
