The team were called upon by Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) to potentially assist with an ongoing rescue they had in Goyden Pot. A number of members were placed on stand-by but were ultimately not deployed as UWFRA were able to resolve the incident successfully themselves. A good outcome for our neighbours and partners at UWFRA.

The Team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist a walker (M, 36yrs) who had slipped whilst walking above Gordale Bridge, on the path from Malham Cove, and had badly injured his ankle. After assessment and administration of pain relief by YAS paramedics and the Team Doctor, the injured walker’s ankle was splinted by team members who stretchered him to the road-head.
