A group of Three Peaks walkers called North Yorkshire Police when one of the group (m, 33) went missing between Whernside summit and Philpin Lane after experiencing some difficulties.  A team vehicle checked Philpin Lane up to the Hill Inn but failed to locate the missing walker.  CRO team members, already on scene for Incident 47, were redeployed to search paths and ridges that the missing walker could have taken. …

INCIDENT 41/2023 JUN. 2nd FRI 16.53 LITTLE STAINFORTH, NORTH YORKSHIRE. LOCAL INCIDENT

NYP called for assistance following the disappearance of a visitor (f, 44) believed to be at risk. As members waited at the RV point, the NPAS (Police) helicopter crew reported sighting the misper, sitting on a hill-side and apparently unharmed, about a kilometre from the point where she had last been seen. INCIDENT 13/2023 MAR. 6th MON. 20.01. MALHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE – LOCAL INCIDENT

North Yorkshire Police called CRO following a report of someone threatening self-harm. Team members met in Malham car park and  were organising into search groups when they learned that the police had found the ‘missing’ person, unharmed. The team stood down. Volunteer hours: 30  

INCIDENT 66/2022 AUG. 20th SAT. 21.04  MALHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE – LOCAL INCIDENT

North Yorkshire Police asked for CRO’s assistance in finding someone about whose welfare concern had been expressed and who was understood to be at Malham Cove.
