The team were called out by North Yorkshire Police to assist with the recovery of a person with fatal injuries from the foot of the cove. Team members were also tasked to search ledges and other parts of the cove for any items belonging to the deceased. Volunteer hours: 83

A walker was reported to have broken an ankle, about half-way up the steps to the top of Malham Cove. Two YAS ambulance technicians were on scene when CRO members arrived. The patient was given pain-relief and had his injured leg splinted, before being put into a vacuum mattress and onto a stretcher. Having dealt with incidents 25 and 26, whilst team members were sorting equipment in the visitor centre car park, the duty controller was approached by 2 walkers seeking advice. A friend had slipped and injured their ankle whilst walking on the cove top! Advice was given, and friends who had remained with the casualty started to walk them to the road. Whilst dealing with incident 25, the team were asked to assist a girl in a school party who had slipped on the limestone pavement, injuring her right ankle. A team casualty carer assessed the injury and strapped it up, before transporting the student and a teacher in a team vehicle, to their own transport in Malham village.
