ALERT Only -Jun 18th Fri. 18.34 – Path near Hunt Pot, Horton in Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire – Alert No. 4 of 2021

YAS contacted the CRO duty controllers after receiving an S.O.S.alert from London Ambulance Service.This gave a mobile phone number and specified a location which translated as near Hunt Pot on the path to Pen y ghent, but no further useful information. INCIDENT 14/2020 – Mar. 5th. Thu. 18.55hrs – Ingleborough – Local Incident

North Yorkshire Police received independent reports of flares seen over the summit of Ingleborough. Although such reports have not resulted in an actual rescue for a very long time, team members undertook a search of the summit of Ingleborough and approaches. No-one was found, nor were any further emergency calls received. Eventually, the team stood down. Conjecture suggests that it was an unknown helicopter. Volunteer hours: 19

INCIDENT 100/2019 – Dec. 16th. Mon. 22.45hrs – Area around Sannat Hall, Stainforth – Local Incident

A motorist, near Sannat Hall, reported seeing a light being flashed in lots of three. Each time the DC called his number, it went to Voicemail, so a team member drove up Silverdale for a look around. Nothing out of the ordinary was seen and by the time the motorist answered his phone, he was 30 miles away and could offer no further information. False alarm, with good intent? Volunteer…
