A visitor (f, 46) fell near the top of the steps up the side of Malham Cove, sustaining a head injury. YAS requested assistance in moving the patient from the accident site to the air ambulance helicopter. This was already on scene before CRO was alerted, so the crew stood the team down, rather than delay the evacuation. Volunteer hours <1
A walker (m, 72) became unwell after climbing almost to the top of the steps up the side of Malham Cove. After assessment by YAS paramedics, he was walked very gently back down with support from team members. Accompanied by the paramedics, the walker was returned to the road ambulance in CRO 2 (team Land Rover) for further assessment and the team stood down Volunteer hours 21
