A visitor (m, 29) sustained an ankle injury, so that he was unable to put weight on it, near Pecca Falls on the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. After splinting his ankle, team members assisted the casualty to a Land Rover, parked nearby. This returned him to the Trail car park for his girlfriend to drive him to hospital, on the way home. A climber (f, 20) on Giggleswick Scar North fell approximately 4m, injuring her left ankle. Team members attended and determined that the awkward climbers’ path back to the car park was unsuitable for a stretcher carry. A visitor to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (f, 54) twisted her ankle on the climb up the steps above Thornton Force, leaving her unable to walk. After assessment by a team doctor, she was splinted and assisted into a stretcher with wheel attached. Team members carefully eased the stretcher back down the steep steps.
