Incident 56/2017 – Aug 1st Tues. 03.21 – Horton in Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.

A call was received from North Yorkshire Police to two 3 Peaks walkers (m, 23, 18) who had become lost in darkness, and found themselves above Horton Quarry, and felt unable to safely proceed or retrace their steps. Incident 46/2017 – July 8th Sat. 20.23 – Sulber Nick, Ingleborough, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.

CRO were called out by the organisers of a 3 peaks walk charity event. A participating walker (f 56) aggravated an existing leg condition and was unable to continue her walk. She was treated by event marshals and then evacuated from near Sulber Nick on Ingleborough by CRO team members and vehicle. Volunteer hours: 5

Incident 43/2017 – June 24th Sat. 21.38 – 3 Peaks Route, Ingleborough to Horton, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

The team were contacted by North Yorkshire Police regarding 5 walkers (f, 35-40), reported overdue on the descent from Ingleborough. A party of four were quickly ascertained to have arrived in Horton safely, but a lone walker was still not accounted for. Two search parties were dispatched to begin checking the route from Horton, but as this happened, the lone walker arrived back at Horton safe and well. Volunteer hours:4

Incident 79/2016 – Sep. 17th Sat. 19.58 – Ingleborough, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.

A party of 4 walkers (m 30, m 30, m 31, m 31) reported themselves as lost, and one of their number injured, on their descent from Ingleborough summit to Horton in Ribblesdale.
