A call was received from North Yorkshire Police to two 3 Peaks walkers (m, 23, 18) who had become lost in darkness, and found themselves above Horton Quarry, and felt unable to safely proceed or retrace their steps. CRO were called out by the organisers of a 3 peaks walk charity event. A participating walker (f 56) aggravated an existing leg condition and was unable to continue her walk.
