The Team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a local farmer when one of her sheep became stuck in a tight water culvert. CRO was asked by our colleagues in Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) to assist with a search for a missing person in and around the Nidd Gorge near Knaresborough. A team from CRO attended and joined several other mountain rescue teams in searching areas of potential interest, but the missing person was not located. Volunteer hours: 47
NYP called for assistance following the disappearance of a visitor (f, 44) believed to be at risk. As members waited at the RV point, the NPAS (Police) helicopter crew reported sighting the misper, sitting on a hill-side and apparently unharmed, about a kilometre from the point where she had last been seen. North Yorkshire Police called CRO after someone, believed to be dead, was seen on the ground beneath Malham Cove. A small team searched a ledge above the site, then the Cove edge itself for personal effects.
