A woman (79) slipped and fell on Storrs Common, having just completed the Waterfalls Walk. A local man called for an ambulance and alerted the team due to the location, knowing access would be difficult for an ambulance. Team members carried out initial treatment of the woman, and splinted her for arm and suspected shoulder injuries, before stretchering her to a waiting ambulance in Ingleton. Volunteer hours: 18

The team were contacted by a farmer who had a lamb trapped in a small culvert, and was unable to extricate it. A small party of team members was dispatched to attempt the recovery. Incident 24/2016 – April 27th Wed. 11.30 – Malham Cove, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue
The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to a walker (f,15) unconscious ‘1 mile north of Malham Cove’. The map reference passed to the team placed the casualty in the Irish Sea. Attempts to verify the location by other means were unsuccessful, so the team were asked to gather at the information centre at Malham to begin attempts to locate the casualty.
