A climber (m, 75) walked up to the Giggleswick Scar (North) crag, but collapsed immediately on arrival. Despite the best efforts of his companions at CPR, then the protracted efforts of YAS paramedics, he could not be revived. A visitor to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (f, 54) twisted her ankle on the climb up the steps above Thornton Force, leaving her unable to walk. North Yorkshire Police called for assistance in rescuing a sheep which had fallen into Hull Pot. A small team was dispatched. While one team member abseiled approximately 18m down to the sheep and persuaded it into a flight bag, four other team members set up a hauling system.
