Four members of an original party of twelve Three Peaks walkers had been struggling and were reported overdue on the descent from Ingleborough. With a search plan in place and a handful of team members en route to begin the search, a call was received confirming that the mispers had reached Horton safely. The team was alerted by North Yorkshire Police of a fell runner (F, 43) taking part in a challenge event who had collapsed whilst descending Ingleborough. A small team were able to drive directly to the runner using the Honda Pioneer (CRO 4) and provide immediate care with the assistance of the event first aiders who were already on scene.
