A visitor (f, 46) fell near the top of the steps up the side of Malham Cove, sustaining a head injury. YAS requested assistance in moving the patient from the accident site to the air ambulance helicopter. North Yorkshire Police called the team to assist a walker (m, 62) who had slipped going over a stile and tumbled about 12 feet, injuring his back. When the team arrived our brilliant colleagues from Yorkshire Air Ambulance were already on scene providing care.
