INCIDENT 45/2023 (same day) 18:10 SIMON FELL BREAST, INGLEBOROUGH, CLAPHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE. MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A well-equipped fell walker (f, 31) on the Three Peaks route twisted her knee on the summit of Ingleborough.  She attempted to continue with her group but was only able to descend as far as the Simon Fell Breast path.  Two team members took CRO4, the team’s all terrain vehicle, up the fell side to the casualty’s location while two team Land Rovers took a support party to an access point lower down the route.  After assessment by a team doctor, the casualty was helped into CRO4 and taken down off the fell.  Members of the support party walked up to meet the casualty’s guide, who had kindly assisted by carrying equipment from CRO4 that had been unloaded to make room for the casualty.
