A walker (f, 65) was reported to be feeling dizzy and unable to walk further on the steep path above Pike Lane, Langcliffe. Having been on the ground for a while, she tried, unsuccessfully, to stand again, so NYP was asked to call CRO. Team members drove to Lower Winskill, walked down to the patient and assessed her condition. As the insulation, re-assurance and glucose tablets provided by her companions seemed to have helped, she was assisted very gently down the hill — with team members carrying a stretcher, in case it was needed. CRO 3 Land Rover met the party at the top of the walled Pike Lane and took her to a YAS ambulance waiting in the village.
