At the CRO AGM in the Ingleborough Community Centre, Ingleton, on Friday, three members were elected to Life Membership having, collectively, given over a hundred years to helping the team save lives, above and below ground in the Yorkshire Dales. A party of three men contacted North Yorkshire Police to say that one of their team had become stuck fast in a bog on the Gragareth ridge, above Kingsdale. CRO despatched a small team to investigate. INCIDENT 26/2023 APR. 29th SAT. 11.09 PEN Y GHENT, HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE, MOUNTAIN INCIDENT
While competing in the Three Peaks Race, a runner (m, 20) tripped on the approach to the summit of Pen y ghent, having run up via Horton Scar Lane. When he fell forwards, he put an arm out to arrest the fall and, in doing so, dislocated a shoulder.
