A caver (m, 47) slipped at the middle entrance to Long Churn and, in saving himself from a more severe fall, put out his arm, which caused him to dislocate a shoulder. The team were called to a walker (m,78) suffering a lower leg injury, and unable to make progress on Whernside. Contact with the caller established that the casualty had health conditions which were impacting on his ability to continue walking, and had become very cold. The team were requested by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to attend a report of a person (f, 37) ‘fallen from a wall, 200m from Settle Golf Club’. Because of an ongoing incident, a reduced team responded from Horton in Ribblesdale to provide assistance to the ambulance service.
