A walker (m, 69) slipped and fell, immediately after leaving the Ingleborough summit plateau on the path towards Crina Bottom and Ingleton. His fall was witnessed by a mountain biker who phoned for help, then she was joined by a passing fell-runner, who used his own first aid kit to staunch the flow of blood from the deep scalp wound. A walker (m,71) fell descending the steep hill from Moughton, and sustained serious injuries to his face and head. The Yorkshire air ambulance was able to drop paramedics nearby, but then had to land at the bottom of the hill due to a lack of suitable landing places near the casualty.
