A motorist, following his SatNav, tried to drive over from Kingsdale to Deepdale, but the car became stuck in snow. He called for help, then managed to get his heavily pregnant wife and small child to the safety of Kingsdale Head Farm. INCIDENT 94/2019 – Nov. 7th. Thu. 20.31hrs – Horton in Ribblesdale – Mountain Incident
On Thursday evening, North Yorkshire Police requested the team to prepare to conduct a daylight search of North Ribblesdale for a missing walker (m, 77), whilst they continued their own inquiries overnight. Team leaders then spent the evening planning a search pattern ready to commence on Friday morning. INCIDENT 88/2019 – Oct. 22nd. Tue. 17.51hrs – Barbon Low Fell, Barbon, Cumbria – Mountain Incident
NWAS asked for assistance in finding someone (f, 62) believed to be at risk, having walked on to Barbon Low Fell. The missing person was found very easily, assessed by a paramedic team member, then accompanied down to the road-head. INCIDENT 59/2019 – July 21st. Sun. 01.02hrs – The Green, Clapham, North Yorkshire – Ambulance Assist
Yorkshire Ambulance Service asked for help in bringing two people (m, ;f, 61) up the riverbank to ambulances waiting on The Green. The pair had been walking from the village to the caravan site and had fallen over a low wall, in the dark, tumbling into Clapham Beck.
