A 3-peaks walker slipped on wet rocks just below the summit of Pen-y-ghent. His fall caused an injury to his ankle – a suspected fracture. CRO were called to support Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) with an ongoing incident. Two cavers had been reported overdue the previous evening from a traverse of Dowber Gill passage that links Dow Cave with Providence Pot. A family visiting the waterfalls walk reported themselves lost in woodland. The CRO Duty Controller was able to contact the family on their mobile phone and established that they had found their way to Ingleton and were being directed to the waterfalls car park by a passerby. Volunteer hours: 0.5

A woman reported that her daughter, undertaking the 3 Yorkshire Peaks alone, was stuck ‘near a steep drop’, ‘somewhere on Ingleborough’, with a failing phone battery.
