A walker (f, 40s) slipped on the limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove immediately above the steps, injuring a wrist and a leg. Life membership awarded to three CRO stalwarts
At the CRO AGM in the Ingleborough Community Centre, Ingleton, on Friday, three members were elected to Life Membership having, collectively, given over a hundred years to helping the team save lives, above and below ground in the Yorkshire Dales. Whilst the team were busy deploying to the previous incident, a further call was received from North Yorkshire Police to assist with a visitor (M, 14yrs) at the Ingleton Waterfalls Walk who had been taken ill whilst on the trail. The Team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a walker (F, 40) who had slipped whilst descending Little Ingleborough. The casualty had sustained a painful lower leg injury and was unable to continue her walk down.
