Having administered pain relief, team members carried the patient from just below Snow Falls up to Falls Park, at Beezleys, to await the arrival of a road ambulance for the journey to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. A walker (m, 48) slipped on steep ground, sustaining a dislocation fracture to his right ankle. Another walker used his ‘personal locator beacon’ to call for help.
