Just as the Team were clearing from the previous sheep rescue incident, we were again called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a walker (F, 52) who had injured her ankle near Thornton Force, on the Ingleton Waterfalls Walk. Team members attended and administered treatment to stabilise the injury before a short stretcher carry back to Team vehicles nearby. Colleagues from Yorkshire Ambulance Service also attended but, thankfully, were not needed and they were able to divert to other incidents. The injured party and her family were conveyed back to their own car nearby, and they then drove on to hospital for further treatment. The Team returned to base to clear up after a busy afternoon all round!
We wish the lady well, and a speedy recovery.
