NYP contacted the team regarding a collapsed walker (m, 51) with central chest and arm pain on the ascent of Whernside. A full team callout was made and CRO2 and 3 were mobilised to Ribblehead. Team members were collected there and transferred to the aqueduct, while three swift team members were sent ahead with medical equipment. Once at the aqueduct members were swiftly sent to the casualty site with further medical equipment, cas bag, and stretcher. Among this group were two YAS paramedics with their monitors. All the while the CRO controllers were trying to request a helicopter evacuation but the YAA was fogged in. They eventually managed to source a NWAA which landed and evacuated the casualty to hospital.
