INCIDENT 19/2021 – May 19th Wed. 07.03 – Pickering area, North Yorkshire – Local Incident
A man (59) was reported to be ‘at risk’, having been missing from home near Pickering since early evening on Monday. Scarborough and Ryedale MRT searched for him through Tuesday night, supported by Cleveland MRT and RAF Leeming MRT. As members were back at Clapham, cleaning the Whernside mud from equipment, a further call was received. A member of a family party (f, 13) was reported to have separated from her parents on Blea Moor at about 14.30. On Thursday evening, North Yorkshire Police requested the team to prepare to conduct a daylight search of North Ribblesdale for a missing walker (m, 77), whilst they continued their own inquiries overnight. Team leaders then spent the evening planning a search pattern ready to commence on Friday morning.
