As the team were cleaning equipment from Incident 87 they received a call from North Yorkshire Police that a group of walkers had not returned from a walk in the Malham Tarn area. After making further enquiries, the Duty Controller confirmed that the overdue party were accounted for and safe so the team was stood down. Volunteer hours: 1

The team were alerted by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to an adult female with a suspected broken ankle. The given What 3 Words (W3W) reference put them in the Airton area. However following initial enquiries by the Duty Controller the incident appeared to actually be on Cross Fell in Cumbria. A party of five cavers was reported ‘overdue’ from a trip through the Easegill (‘Three Counties’) system from Lancaster Hole to Wretched Rabbit. The alert was very soon rescinded after a member of the party ran back to Bull Pot Farm to delay the call-out time to 23.00. Volunteer hours: <1
