The Team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a local farmer when one of her sheep became stuck in a tight water culvert. Despite tempting it with treats the sheep had declined to come out. A small team of members attended and eventually the sheep was safely extracted from the culvert none the worse for the ordeal. The team were called upon by Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) to potentially assist with an ongoing rescue they had in Goyden Pot. A number of members were placed on stand-by but were ultimately not deployed as UWFRA were able to resolve the incident successfully themselves. A good outcome for our neighbours and partners at UWFRA.
