The team were called by the Ambulance Service and Police after multiple calls were received to a person (m,40) fallen into the River Doe on the Ingleton Waterfalls walk, possibly above Snow Falls. Incident 42/2016 – Jun 12th Sun. 19.03 – Storrs Common, Ingleton, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue
A woman (79) slipped and fell on Storrs Common, having just completed the Waterfalls Walk. A local man called for an ambulance and alerted the team due to the location, knowing access would be difficult for an ambulance. Team members carried out initial treatment of the woman, and splinted her for arm and suspected shoulder injuries, before stretchering her to a waiting ambulance in Ingleton. Volunteer hours: 18
