Incident 34/2018 – Jun. 2nd Sat 14.25 Baxengill Gorge, Waterfalls Trail, Ingleton, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

A visitor (m, described as ‘big and heavy’) fell on the stepped path, landing on an unrelated visitor (f, 45). Although he walked away, she sustained a suspected fractured clavicle and grazes to her head.  After immobilising the injury and administering pain relief, team members walked her gently to a YAS road ambulance for transport to hospital. Incident 8/2018 – Mar. 9th Thu. 14.20 Ingleborough, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

A walker (m, 69) slipped and fell, immediately after leaving the Ingleborough summit plateau on the path towards Crina Bottom and Ingleton.  His fall was witnessed by a mountain biker who phoned for help, then she was joined by a passing fell-runner, who used his own first aid kit to staunch the flow of blood from the deep scalp wound. Incident 80/2017 – Oct. 18th Wed. 14.10 – Clapham Bents (side of Ingleborough), Clapham, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.

A school-girl (10) on an outdoor education residential visit was reported to have fainted, while walking to the side of and well below the Ingleborough to Little Ingleborough path. When she was persuaded to stand up again, she fainted again. A CRO team drove to the bottom of Trow Gill, then walked 2 km up to her party and brought her down to Gaping Gill, by stretcher.
