North Yorkshire Police asked for CRO’s assistance following a report that a group of Three Peaks walkers could not locate one of their members who had become tired and had agreed to wait for the others while they finished the route. A three peaks walker (m, 59) collapsed on the steep path onto Ingleborough at Humphrey Bottom. Almost immediately, his wife began CPR and this was continued by paramedics from the North West Air Ambulance, when they arrived. The first CRO members on scene found that paramedics from a YAS road ambulance were also in attendance.
