The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist with a walker (f) with a medical condition near the river from Malham Cove. The ambulance crew were able to easily access the casualty, and the team were, therefore, stood down whilst still en route. Volunteer hours: 7

Incident 87/2016 – Oct. 27th Thu. 13.07 – Sheriff Hill, Malham, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.
The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to a walker (f,41) suffering a suspected ankle fracture, on the path approaching Malham Cove top from Malham Rakes. The casualty was treated by team casualty carers and splinted, before being conveyed by team Land Rover to a waiting ambulance at Malham Information Centre, for transfer to hospital. Incident 72/2016 – Sep. 7th Wed. 20.09 – Malham Cove, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.
The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist officers with a vulnerable person. A CRO vehicle with team members on board attended, and provided assistance to the officers on scene. Volunteer hours: 14
Incident 47/2016 – Jun 28th Tue. 17.47 – Malham Cove, Malham, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue
A climber (m 36) was not able to clip the first bolt at the start of a route, before falling circa 4 metres on to a ledge and suffering a head injury. He was treated by Yorkshire Ambulance Service and air ambulance paramedics at the scene, before being carried from the crag on a stretcher by CRO members and then taken to hospital by air ambulance.
