The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to a walker (f,41) suffering a suspected ankle fracture, on the path approaching Malham Cove top from Malham Rakes. The casualty was treated by team casualty carers and splinted, before being conveyed by team Land Rover to a waiting ambulance at Malham Information Centre, for transfer to hospital. A climber (m 36) was not able to clip the first bolt at the start of a route, before falling circa 4 metres on to a ledge and suffering a head injury. He was treated by Yorkshire Ambulance Service and air ambulance paramedics at the scene, before being carried from the crag on a stretcher by CRO members and then taken to hospital by air ambulance. The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to a walker (f,15) unconscious ‘1 mile north of Malham Cove’. The map reference passed to the team placed the casualty in the Irish Sea. Attempts to verify the location by other means were unsuccessful, so the team were asked to gather at the information centre at Malham to begin attempts to locate the casualty.
