CRO were called to assist a walker (f, 57) who had fallen while descending from the summit of Whernside. She was reported to have twisted her knee and banged her head as a result of her fall and was being assisted down the hill by two passing walkers. When CRO arrived at the road head we discovered that the injured walker and her companions had been successful in reaching Broadrake farm and were being taken by private car to their own vehicle at Ribblehead.
