INCIDENT 78/2024. OCTOBER 13th SUN. 17.13 hrs. INGLETON WATERFALLS TRAIL, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

A visitor (m) took a fall on the return leg of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and was seen to be struggling. One passing walker loaned him a walking pole and another tried to phone for help, but had almost reached Ingleton before she had a signal. Team members walked  or ran that half of the Trail from each end without finding the man and his wife. The couple had reached the village when a CRO controller spotted them; they were able to continue to the Trail car park.

Volunteer hours:  14

NOTE: If the lady who very kindly loaned the struggling visitor her walking pole would contact CRO (either by email to secretary@cro.org.uk or by a message on Facebook- CaveRescueOrganisation), we will endeavour to return it. It is currently at our Base in Clapham.
