A Three Peaks walker (m, 60) lost his footing on the steep, rocky path to the summit of Pen y ghent, falling about two metres and landing on his head, shoulder and arm. He sustained shoulder, opposite wrist and slight head injuries and lost consciousness for a few minutes. CRO members carried him down, by stretcher, to a team Land Rover, passing hundreds of ascending walkers on the way. He was then transferred to a YAS ambulance, waiting at Brackenbottom.
