INCIDENT 50 /2025. JUNE 14th SAT 14.24hrs. OCCUPATION ROAD, DENT, CUMBRIA

The start of a busy afternoon for the Team! We were alerted to an incident by our colleagues at Kendal Mountain Rescue Team, which had been misdirected to them by Cumbria Police. The incident was very near the border of our two Teams,  just above Dent. A young walker (M, 17) who was on an expedition hike had tripped and injured his ankle. Unable to continue his walk he wisely remained where he was. His party were well prepared and had a group shelter and food whilst they awaited our arrival. Luckily, he was on a track which was accessible to our Team vehicles. Members attended and the casualty was treated before being taken back to his friends’ vehicle in nearby Dent. He was subsequently taken to hospital by his friends. We wish him a speedy recovery.
