A woman, walking up the steps next to Pecca Falls became unwell, and lost consciousness. The team were tasked by Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist crews in extricating the casualty. Whilst the casualty was treated by YAS and air ambulance paramedics, the team prepared a stretcher, and then carried the casualty to a team vehicle via the old Pecca slate quarry. She was then transported to a road ambulance on Thornton Lane for transfer to hospital. Many thanks to the air ambulance staff who also assisted with the stretcher carry!
