A walker (m 19) slipped and fell on wet rocks whilst descending from the summit of Whernside. He injured, possibly fracturing, his right lower leg. CRO team members splinted the injured leg, packaged the injured person into a stretcher and were able to drag him, sledge like, down the steep grassy slopes towards Bruntscar. The casualty was then transferred by a CRO vehicle to the B6255 road for a handover to Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics.
