Two Three Peaks walkers (f, 26; f, 22) told NYP that they were lost in the dark and low cloud, coming from Ingleborough down to Horton. The description suggested that, in the poor visibility, they had lost the path where it crosses an area of surface limestone between Sulber Nick proper and Beecroft Hall, then drifted to the South. While other members headed for Horton as a precaution, two local members walked up from Beecroft, found the mispers, escorted them down to a member’s car and drove them to their own car, parked in Horton.
