Incident 31/2018 – May 29th Tue. 13.22 Little Ingleborough, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

A male walker began to suffer chest pain and dizziness whilst ascending Little Ingleborough, beyond Gaping Gill. Incident 30/2018 – May 28th Mon. 15.45 Brackenbottom Scar, Horton in Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

A female walker slipped and fell descending Pen-y-ghent sustaining a suspected fracture to her right ankle. She was carried by passers-by to within 500m of the road before being met by team members, who were called by North Yorkshire Police. Incident 29/2018 – May 27th Sun 14.23 Waterfalls Trail, Ingleton, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

A female walker fell approximately 20 feet down stone steps near Pecca Falls, losing consciousness for a short while. The team were tasked by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist, and located the casualty not far from our rendezvous point. Incident 27/2018 – May 26th Sat. 16.29 Giggleswick Scar, Giggleswick, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

A climber, (male) slipped and fell on the ‘Titter ye not’ pitch at Giggleswick Scar, sustaining a severe injury to his left lower leg as he hit the ground. On arrival, team members escorted the YAS paramedics to the scene, and assisted whilst emergency pain relief was administered.
