Incident 96/2016 – Dec. 10th Sat. 17.08 – Cam Pasture, Horton in Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.
A walker (m, 31), who had set off from Horton in Ribblesdale at 12.40, to walk the northern end of the Ribble Way, reported himself lost and benighted in low cloud near Cam Houses. A CRO Land Rover was able to drive to within easy walking distance of him, despite the complexity of recent timber extraction routes in Cam Woodlands. Incident 94/2016 – Nov. 26th Sat. 23.11 – Malham Cove, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.
North Yorkshire Police requested assistance in recovering a deceased casualty (m,20) from the foot of Malham Cove. He was carried to a team Land Rover for transport down to the village. A small-scale search at the top of the Cove produced his possessions which were handed over to the Police. FATAL Volunteer hours: 42

A walker (m, 65) slipped on a steep, wet, grassy slope, while descending towards Deepdale Head, sustaining a suspected ankle fracture. In the first sleet of the Autumn, he was given pain relief and his injury was immobilised, before he was carried, by stretcher, to a NWAS ambulance, waiting on the Deepdale road. Volunteer hours: 36
