A caller was concerned that a group of nine friends and family — youngest four years old — had set off from near Ribblehead for Pen y ghent at 15.30 and had not returned. She had been unable to contact them by phone and described them as not dressed for the environment and having no food or drink. The CRO Duty Controller put the team on stand-by and sent two PhoneFind messages before trying, successfully, to telephone the overdue party. He was assured that all was well, so advised the original caller and stood the team down.
