The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a walker (f, 35) who had lost her way descending from the summit of Whernside. By the time the Duty Controller managed to speak to her she had already managed to retrace her steps back to the summit but was getting cold, and was unsure she would be able to make her own way off in the fading light, as such she was asked to remain where she was whilst a small team headed up to the summit from the Kingsdale side to meet her and escort her off.
When the hill party met up with the lost walker she was in good spirits and was able to walk back down to our vehicles. After a quick drink and snack we then returned her to her vehicle in Horton.
