North Yorkshire Police called the team to assist a walker (m,17) who had slipped and injured his ankle and knee descending Whernside toward Bruntscar. Team members ascended to the casualty’s location just off the summit ridge, where they assessed and packaged the casualty. The team then sledged the casualty down to the roadhead on a Bell stretcher and handed him over to Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics for further care.
