A member of the public alerted North Yorkshire Police to a lamb that had fallen to the bottom of Hull Pot, on the side of Pen-y-Ghent, who then requested the team’s assistance to rescue it. As the lamb was in no immediate danger it was decided to wait until the evening when team members were meeting anyway.
A small team headed up to Hull Pot early evening and one team member descended into the pot to recover the lamb. Once back on the surface the lamb ran off to join the rest of the flock.
